Congratulations to the winners of this year’s Eco Quiz, Nant Celyn Primary School!. As part of their first prize from the Eco Quiz last term visited Knauf Insulation in Cwmbran. They were treated to a buffet lunch in their show home, had a presentation about Knauf and what they do there, before being shown around by Mark, the Plant Manager, Lauren the Public Relations Officer and a Member of Cwmbran Community Council Cllr. Gareth Lloyd-Tolman.
The children were very visible in their hi vis jackets, ear defenders, glasses and hard caps.
The children thoroughly enjoyed hearing about what goes on inside the factory and that the insulation is made up of 85% of recycled glass from the local area. So, every pane of glass that is recycled, jam jar and glass bottle end up in Knauf to make insulation for buildings.
