TOGS Centre
The TOGS Centre (Torfaen Opportunity Group) is a well-established local charity based in Pontypool that provides vital support services to children and young people in Torfaen with physical, learning or sensory disabilities, and to their families. The Centre delivers a range of youth and play sessions, family support groups and social activities, helping reduce isolation, build confidence and improve wellbeing for disabled young people and carers across the borough.
TOGS is a self-funding charity run by trustees, parents and volunteers, open to any parent or carer of a disabled child aged 8–18 in Torfaen without requiring a statutory referral.
Cwmbran Community Council recognises the valuable role TOGS plays in supporting families and young people and has provided core funding support to the Centre as part of its community investment programme.
Through this core funding, the Council helps sustain the Centre’s ongoing youth and family support services, enabling TOGS to maintain activities, staff support and community outreach that benefit residents of Cwmbran and the wider Torfaen area. This support contributes to the Council’s wider commitment to inclusive community services and opportunities for all young people.
