Recent Statement from Councillor Anthony Bird:-
It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and on behalf of the members of Cwmbran Community Council would like to express my condolences to members of the Royal Family at this time.
I don’t think that there is anyone who has epitomised devotion to duty and service to the nation in the way that the queen has. For 70 years she has served the public, meeting presidents, paupers, soldiers, saints, the commons and Kings.
We have lost a true stalwart of this nation. God bless the Queen, God save the King.
