On Friday 3 October we proudly hosted our 3rd Annual Celebration to honour the positive contributions and lasting impact of the Caribbean Windrush Generation and Black History on both our community and the wider Torfaen community.
During the day, we were delighted to welcome local primary schools, who showcased their inspirational work around the theme “Welcome & Sharing.”
It was also a joy to listen to some of the inspirational stories shared by members of the Windrush community, reminding us of the strength, resilience, and legacy they continue to pass on.
In the evening, we were treated to outstanding performances from Holly & Tallulah, the vibrant Sound of Steel Band, and the uplifting Renewal Choir.
The events were warmly hosted by Cllr Sean Wharton, and we’d like to extend our thanks to him and to everyone who made this celebration so special.
